Featured Software Frameworks
Connected Car Solution enables users to remain connected to the external world, enabling them to access entertainment even on the move. At the same time, it also ensures complete safety of the driver and passengers by leveraging advanced technologies available for the Connected Car ecosystem. We have deep domain expertise in advanced technologies such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), eye gaze tracking, gesture control for rear seat entertainment, vehicle-to-vehicle communication and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication.
- AVB for Automotive
Conventional IEEE 802.3 Ethernet is unable to meet the connectivity and multimedia requirements of next-generation automotive infotainment networks. Its limitations include lack of precision timing mechanism, lack of QoS and no mechanism to prevent network congestion. Ethernet Audio Video Bridging (AVB) overcomes these limitations by providing timing synchronization, eliminating buffer delay through the network and creating resource reservation. AVB defines a set of technical standards developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Audio Video Bridging Task Group of the IEEE 802.1 standards committee. AVB is well positioned to be the technology of choice for building next-generation automotive infotainment networks. It offers several advantages such as, easy to manage, built on IEEE standards, affordable and Ethernet-based, single network for all media.
- Driver Migration Tool
Altran’s Driver Migration tool enabling software helps platform engineering clients to expedite the product development in Consumer Electronics, Automotive and IoT space. This software is developed to solve the manual migration challenges and reduce the development life cycle of the project thereby enabling our clients to launch their products faster in this time-critical market.
- Augmented Reality Framework
Augmented Reality is an evolving technology that has found interest and adoption from various industry segments for various purposes such as enhancing business processes, employee training, real-time decision making through virtual prototyping, visualization of content, etc. Altran has developed Augmented Reality Framework (ARF) which is a software framework for developing different implementations of Augmented Reality (AR) such as visual overlay applications, independent solutions for 3D image reconstruction and extended frameworks for image processing on popular mobile platforms, for enterprises cutting across different domains including, but not limited to, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Fitness and Sports, Media and Entertainment, Automotive, etc.
Today’s car systems use Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to enhance safety in vehicles. ADAS technology leverages vision/camera systems, sensor technology and car data networks to increase car safety. Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) technology, collectively known as V2X, overcomes the limitations faced by today’s ADAS systems and will serve as the foundation for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) – facilitating autonomous communications between vehicles, and between vehicles and infrastructure to improve road safety, alleviate traffic congestion, reduce fuel and energy consumption, and enhance the overall passenger experience.
